Passage in the Minnesota Legislature was only the first step in trying to update the trust distribution language. Since the trust distribution language is enshrined in the constitution, this now heads to Minnesota’s voters as it requires the majority of Minnesota’s voters for passage.

TASK FORCE
The non-partisan task force that analyzed the fund showed that investment management has evolved significantly since the fund was established. They believe the amendment would allow the fund to better balance:
